Mixed feelings about this
The staff's warm hospitality truly shines—like the delightful surprise of pasteis de nata on arrival! ! the breakfast was hearty, offering a great variety to start the day off perfectly.
Unfortunately, be prepared for steep access roads that can make navigating the area challenging, especially with heavy luggage. noise from outside areas could disrupt a good night's sleep.

serene courtyard, beautiful neighborhood vibe, historic charm and architecture
The lack of soundproofing is unacceptable!!! Room sizes are misleading, and outdated furnishings throughout the hotel spoil the experience. Be prepared for steep access roads and insufficient air conditioning units amid the heat!!!

Charming House is a delightful spot. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine and a pastel de nata, a lovely touch! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, especially by the pool area where we spent lots of time. Breakfast is delightful, with a spread of pastries, fresh fruits, and juices. It's great to sit outside and enjoy the morning sun while having breakfast. The staff went above and beyond. they even packed sandwiches for us when we had an early departure. Our room, while cozy, was on the top floor, and with no lift, the stairs can be a workout if you have heavy luggage. The location is fantastic for exploring, just a short walk from tram 28. the noise from outside can disrupt sleep, especially during early morning hours. The only downside was the shower, which had some mold and could use more attention to cleaning. the charm and character of the place made it enjoyable, but it’s essential to prepare for the steep walk uphill after a day of exploring.
